CNC Machinist Position (Days)

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

•  Setup/Operate/Program CNC machines including 
  • Mills, Lathes, Grinders, Saws, Vertical Machining Centers
• Plan the sequence of necessary actions for optimum job completion including order of operations, set-up requirements from start to finish including raw material preparation
• Monitor machine while working to adjust the feed, maintain temperature and identify issues
• Accurate blueprint reading to manufacture parts to engineering specifications 
• Machine shop theory and practices including
  • Turning, milling, drilling, tapping, grinding, etc.
• Knowledge and application of basic shop measuring techniques
  • Calipers, micrometers, indicators, gauge blocks
• In-process dimensions and tolerances required to finish part to specs
• Effective problem-solving skills to optimize part production including: 
  • Raw material preparation  
  • Set-up and troubleshoot 
  • Detect tool wear/breakdown
  • Metal cutting process-depth of cut, chip information, etc
  • Work/Tool holding methods
• Ability to perform routine preventive maintenance on machines/equipment
• Machine shop safety procedures
• Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience Requirements

• High School diploma plus technical training or relevant experience 
• 3+ years of CNC Machining experience preferred​

​Working Conditions and Physical Demands:
Manufacturing environment. Prolonged standing and the ability to lift up to 50lbs as needed.
